These last two months have seen me finding presence in little things again...a fine dice on vegetables, setting the table for dinner, a carefully thought out photograph. Out of a month of gray comes bright purples, living greens, and rich creams.
A new classroom and all of its many challenges keeps my mind occupied and my body active. At least four and a half miles of walking every plus the new addition of an hour of yoga twice a week is challenging me in new ways. No complacency allowed. The effort and emotional exhaustion from work definitely catches up to me and Friday has me looking excitedly towards time alone in the apartment where no one demands anything of me. And yet, I don't think I would trade it for the recent anxious quiet.
